Name/Title

agriculture, chaff cutter

About this object

Large chaff cutter machine held by the museum. History of the machine and how it came to be at the museum is unfortunately not known so this record will be updated as and when information becomes available.

The chaff cutter was originally designed and operated by hand with some revisions over time. A number of farmers adapted the machine to run via an external motor, this is potentially what has happened here.

It is believed the engine and cutter are still operational so work is planned to have it running again.
