About this object

Crown Lynn nursery rhyme child's cup and saucer. Cream coloured ceramic with gold trim around the saucer edge and the cup rim and handle. The cup has two images on it. The main image is of a child in a riding costume on a hobby-horse beside a milestone which has "Banbury Cross 2 miles" on it. The second image on the reverse side is of a lamb wearing a blue ribbon with three flowers, one red and two yellow.
The saucer has three images on it. A duck chasing a flying insect, a duck carrying a basket and a snail towing a cart full of parcels. The cart has "Express Parcels Co." on the side of it.
