About this object

Wooden varnished desk top writing case shaped to resemble a roll top writing desk with a dome shaped handle on lid. Is hinged with 2 hinges at back. One is screwed on the other hinge is homemade from tin and nailed to box. The tin has 'County Chemical Co Ltd' printed on it and HOUSEHO. The sides of case are a half dome shape. There are two compartments inside, the front one with red worn velvet on bottom with black ink stains. There is a sticker with "733" written in ink on base.
