About this object

Metal scales. Oval shaped strip in centre with ends not joined. Has a metal arrowed hinged one end with a groove in arrowhead so that there are pointers either side of quartermoon shaped gauge; one side "0, 10, 20, 40 other side 20, 40, 80, 120, 160, 200 ....400'. Small ring and small hook, large ring and large hook attached to outside of oval shape. On the back is written P L Schmidt Elberfeld.
