About this object
Ledger for the Austral New Zealand Mining Company Ltd from 1940 to 1952 as part of a collection of papers and ledgers from J.C. Parcell, solicitors, Cromwell. The book is bound using the "Clarion" thong binder. It has a light brown corduroy fabric cover, sturdily bound with metal and wood.
There is a typed index on the first page. The rest of the entries are very neatly written in pen. Pages include assets, liabilities, capital, dredge working profit and loss, bullion accounts, and general expenditure including wages, military service grants, income tax and directors fees etc.
Instructions for using the "Clarion" thong binder and re-ordering instructions are on the inside of the back cover.
