About this object

A 232 page history of the Murrell family including many black and white photographs. This history begins with the decision of 23 year old Edward Murrell to emigrate to New Zealand in 1860 as an assisted immigrant on board the ship Wild Duck. Edward arrived in Wellington on the 15th January 1861. He moved to Nelson and there he married Mary Ann Kidston on the 10th July 1861. They were to have 13 children.
