About this object

War Service Records, Private Archibald Angus McGillivray, World War One (photocopy). Archie enlisted in June 1915 and was discharged on 17 March 1919. These records indicated that pulmonary tuberculosis did what the war couldn't; Archie McGillivray died of TB, aged 28 on 20 February 1924. His army records indicate that his 'death was due to his war service'. Archie is buried in the Mataura cemetery. We also have a photograph of Archie in uniform and another of his military medals.
