Minute and Roll Book; a black exercise book containing meeting minutes for the Mataura Band of Hope from May 1922 to July 1932. The Band of Hope was a temperance organisation for children, founded in Leeds in 1847. Members took a pledge of total abstinence and were taught the 'evils of drink'.
