Photograph; 7 of 47 from the McConnell Album. This photograph taken in 1925 shows the northern end of the Mataura Paper Mill. The bales of paper were stacked prior to being pulped and recycled back into paper products. The Mill's weir runs parallel to the Mataura River.
The Album was commissioned by Charles McConnell, the then mayor of the Mataura Borough Council. It is now in the Gore Historical Society's collection and is held at the Gore Museum.
