About this object

A framed, photograph of Private Archibald Angus McGillivray's World War One medals including a fob presented to him on 7 March 1919 by the residents of Block VII, Mataura on his return from the War. Pulmonary tuberculosis did what the war couldn't; Archie McGillivray died of TB, aged 28 on 20 February 1924. His army records indicate that his 'death was due to his war service'. Archie is buried in the Mataura cemetery.
