Lapel badge; New Zealand Farmer's Union. A rugby ball shaped bronze badge with blue and white enameling stating the name of the organisation. It has a crescent moon shaped attachment on the back so it may be slid into the button hole on a man's jacket lapel. The first meeting of Farmer's Union was 18 September 1899. It joined Sheepowners' Federation in 1945 and became Federated Farmer's of New Zealand Inc .
