About this object

Lister made cream separator in 3 parts. This separator is the smallest and oldest of the Lister's. The base is coloured pale blue and is made from cast iron. The cover and vat are made from silver painted tin. There are 2 holes on either side of the base for attaching to bench or such. The handle is detachable, held in place by a screw. handle is cast iron and wood.

Base has the Lister plate attached to front by 4 screws and is oval in shape. The Lister logo has been repainted in gold paint. Adhesive sticker with CR 15 in Black and gold colours on left side. On under side of base 469/1 is embedded. On right side of under base BMC stamped. Handle has a makers plate of metal, coloured Gold Made by R.A. Lister & Co. Ltd. Dursley England. On inside of handle is stamped A.x37 & on front of handle stamped coloured black 70 322928 Stamped on top lip of Base where meets cover also 15 stamped.
