About this object

Two parts of a ram press case used in the production of a plaster mould. Each consists of a plaster body held within a cylindrical metal frame. The metal frames each have two circular fittings which would hold a pin to join the two parts. Part 2 has a convex cavity with a series of raised bands. Plaster coated in an Araldite layer.
