Subject and Association DescriptionAn engraving inside the watch case reads "Presented to Sergeant Lander by the Residents of Te Awamutu and surrounding districts, 24th March 1915". Sergeant Roger Lander was a Police officer in Te Awamutu for nine years and this pocket watch was presented to him as a farewell gift from the community when he relocated due to a promotion.
