About this object

3 wine glasses - 90mm high 65mm dia. Clear glass with blue inscription "Duke of Marlborough Hotel, Russell 1828-1978, 150 years, souvenir". Marking the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the hotel by John Johnson on that site. A formal licence was granted 1840 (No.1) and the present Duke was transported to the site in the 1930's, after fire had destroyed its predecessor.
