Belfast District Museum
The museum is adjacent to the historic Old Schoolmaster's House (built 1877) on the Kapuatohe Historic Reserve. Extensive photograph collection plus objects from earlier days. Closed by earthquake damage February 2011, not known when/if it will re-open

Prior to closure, 2pm - 4pm first Sunday, September - May, or by arrangement. Schoolmaster's House and Crofter's Cottage also open twice a year.
