Photograph, 'Natalie Dolamore'

About this object

This is a photograph of Natalie Dolamore standing next to a leather sculpture which she donated to the Eastern Southland Gallery.

She was the Gore librarian for many years and was a hub of art, literature and all things culture in the town. As a big supporter of the Gallery, they commissioned Southland photographer Adrienne Martyn to take a portrait of Natalie in 1993. She passed away in 2003 but was a key figure in the arts and heritage scene in Gore throughout the 20th-century and this portrait photograph is in honour of her contribution to both the Gore community and the wider cultural community in New Zealand.
