Name/Title

Apron, Western Star

About this object

This is an apron upon which the Wednesday January 7, 1883 front cover of the Riverton Western Star has been printed. Why this piece of the newspaper has been printed onto the apron is unknown, however, the page actually corresponds to the front over the January 6, 1883 edition of the paper. This different date may have been a deliberate miss print to avoid copyright infringement. The heading 'Ye Chronicler of Ye Fancy Dress Ball! indicates that it may have been produced for a dance.
