About this object
A black mourning apron front with pink and green floral stitching, lace trim and deep green broadcloth lining. It is missing its ties but would have fastened around the waist.
Beginning in the Victorian era, mourning aprons were generally worn by the 'lady of the house' during the mourning period following a loved one's death.
