Spectacles, Saddle bridge, Brass; Unknown maker; 1850-1950; RI.W2001.72

Name/Title

Spectacles, Saddle bridge, Brass

About this object

A pair of simple oval, brass-framed spectacles with a W-bridge and blade/paddle temples.

The temples are named as such because they are completely straight and don't terminate in a drop or curled end. This pair has a slight curve to them, allowing them a little more grip than the average blade temple style.
