Taika Waititi as Viago
Freeman White is a painter who likes to remind us of our humanity. He draws attention to our physical form to document contemporary life. He was born in 1979 in Hawke's Bay and raised on an orchard. He attended the Elam School of Fine Arts in Auckland, and was the winner of a number awards. A scholarship from the NZUK Link Foundation enabled White to travel to Scotland, where he was commissioned to paint many portraits and became the first New Zealander to be represented in the Scottish Portrait Gallery's permanent collection.
