Untitled [troupe of girls in dance costume]

About this object

Photograph of six girls in matching costumes and ballet shoes, each girl pointing her left toe. Noela Cable is second from the right - the only girl with long hair; the others have bobs. The costumes are empire line in two colours, with a short light-coloured skirt, and a series of tulle pom poms hanging on ribbons from the necklines.

Each girl has a tulle flower in her hair. The photograph is taken against a dark wall with framed pictures partly visible at the left and right edges. The photograph has a simple wood frame and is unglazed.
