About this object

Ladle used for melting lead for making bullets.
History/Notes: typical of the models used when casting own shot.
Material: iron.
Colour: rusting, slight reddish tinge on exterior of bowl.
Yellowish fibrous type tinge on interior of bowl.
Form: long, narrow, flat handle with loop bent at tip; handle riveted to scoop. Ladle bowl shaped into long pouring spout.
