About this object

This is the wedding photograph of Fredrick William Johnston Crosbie and Mary McCallum, of Menzies Ferry, which took place on March 27, 1907.

The couple had nine children; Robina Margaret, Mary Evelyn, Violet Olga, Fredrick William Johnston (Bunty), Robert Leslie, Nesta Aileen, Myrtle Estella, George Clifford, Thelma Mildred, Douglas, Hazel and Isla.

Fred died in 1943. Mary died in 1964 and is buried with Fred Senior at the Wyndham Cemetery. Mary had been widowed for 21-years and out-lived their oldest son, Fred Junior, who died in 1950 aged 38, possibly from war related illness.
