About this object

This is a photographic postcard depicting the Wyndham Railway Station in about 1907 or 1908. The engine seen is a F 77 which was built by Avonside Engine Company of Bristol, England in 1876 (Maker's No. 1131). The train was put into service on December 29, 1876 and was written off on July 5, 1932.

The postcard dated to July 8, 1908 discusses a journey that the author took with the recipient to Trigg Hill (this is either at Seaward Downs or Glenham).
