These are archival records relating to sisters Myra & Grace Fraser.
Myra Charlotte Fraser of Waiarikiki attended Wyndham District High School. She was awarded the Wyndham District High School Dux Award in 1934 and this is also held in the Museum's collection.Myra went on to become a teacher and Methodist missionary in the Solomon Islands. She lived until the age of 99, dying in January 2018, and is buried in the Invercargill Cemetery. Myra was one of a small number of Southland women who were awarded the MBE.
Her sister Grace also became a much loved teacher. Grace died in 2004.
