About this object

This is a photograph of Duncan Revie, who was one of the carpenters at the Edendale Dairy Factory in the 1880s. He was later employed by the Land company and in October 1895 he bought land at Kamahi Road, Edendale next to the railway line. He built a home for himself and his wife, from timber milled on the property and timber was also sent to Edendale to be used in the building of the piggery.
