Brass Label, Cream Churn
This brass label came from a cream can or churn, and indicated that the filled vessel was ready to be sent to the Farmers Dairy Federation at Invercargill. This weighed 22 lbs. Once empty, the can was returned to the Tuturau Dairy Company at Mataura.
The cream lorry did a twice weekly collection of cream from farms & factories for making Murihiku butter
