About this object

These large tailor shears were used in the Williams' tailoring business.

Frank Williams Senior came to Wyndham in 1909, and started his own business in Balaclava Street, opposite the Post Office in 1915. His son, also Frank, took over the business after World War II, and this was the last tailoring business in Wyndham, finally closing in the mid-1970s.
