Tape [Anti-Radar Detection]

About this object

Known as window or as chaff during World War II. A reel of tin foil tape on a brown reel. The reel has a 35 mm diameter hole in the centre. The tape is cut up into short lengths and discharged from the aircraft at appropriate times to confuse enemy radar detection.
