A black silk fabric jacket with white embroidery around the hemline and on the long sleeves. There is a slit on the wrist seamline. Four black covered buttons are arranged on the front, side by side, in Oriental style.
There is a sleeveless top made in black silk fabric with a v necked opening, embellished with 2 rosette buttons and white embroidery. There is a small heart-shaped pocket on the left side of top, bound in white bias binding.
The long flared trousers are made of black silk fabric, with edges bound in white bias binding. There are white embroidered inserts at the trouser's scalloped hemline, and a placket buttoned high waist.
This trouser suit belonged to Ada May Wintle, nee Elvey, b. 1903 d. 1994, who was married to Louis Lester Wintle. They lived at the Tara, and frequently travelled to Maccau.
