About this object
Two cream, starched, cotton/ linen veils, that have decorative stitched hems and embroidered blue lettering, 'K.H.' which stands for Kaitane Hospital. c. 1950-70's. The Karitane Hospital Service was set up by Sir Truby King for the care of babies and young children in New Zealand.
These were worn by Mary Bull. b.1940 who lived on Black Swamp Road, Mangawhai. Both in very good condition.
