About this object
A. Long bullock team on skidded road at the head of Brown's Valley, hauling kauri logs on a 'car'. A 'car' or catamaran was the carriage that held the Kauri logs. Logs were put across the track for the bullocks to walk own so they didn't sink in the mud. This was called a skidded road.
