13.30 Father went to WW2 in ARMY. ?Regiment. 2nd NZEF to North Africa, Egypt. Prisoner by Italians. Marched Italy to Germany. 5 1/2 stone when back to England.

15:55 News to mother missing in action presumed killed. Postcard eventually about capture. 16:45 Mother back to BELLINGHAM  family in MAUNGATUROTO. Grandfather HALL farmed SETTLEMENT ROAD.. 
17:50  Father farmed after WW2. Trucks sent to RODNEY during WW2, locals started Rodney RODNEY AND OTAMATEA TRANSPORT.
