00.35 PADDY WHYNN: Grandparents came to New Zealand via Australia, married into MOIR family. DAVE MOIR, EDGAR MOIR’s father. Mother’s sister married DICK MOIR. Father came from England after WW1.
02.25 Father was GUMDIGGER in AWANUI, then WHARFINGER at MANGAWAI. 1920’s and 1930’s. ALICE JACKSON succeeded him. “KAWAU” came up the HARBOUR to the WHARF, took GUM back.
05.15 SCOWS brought CATTLE. Some cattle to COAL HILL. “JANE GIFFORD”, “POROTO”
TUG BOAT “LADY EVA” rafted LOGS back to AUCKLAND.
