A collection of travel memorabilia that was compiled by Stanley Alexander Ross, b 1903 d 1974, known as Stan and Doris Mary Ross, nee Logue b 1907 d 2002 of Kaiwaka.
They went on a 7 month and 22 days, voyage to Europe in 1962.
They touched on 22 countries and 11 seas.
They started their trip in Wellington, on 6th April 1962, aboard the 'SS Southern Cross.'
They dis-embarked in Wellington on 27th November 1962 from the ship 'Stratheden'.
The collection includes 2 scrapbooks, 2 original handwritten diaries, and an original photograph held inside a cardboard leaflet. It is a photo of the tour group surrounding Stan and Doris Ross who renewed their wedding vows at Gretna Green.
