About this objectBroad axe; a broad or squaring axe, used for the rough dressing of timber. This has a long handle, straight back, slightly curved blade and is sharpened on one side only. An old museum label adhered to the blade reads: "Used by R Robinson at Hinahina when the Big Mill was built".
