Newspaper clipping; a newspaper clipping printed in the Otago Daily Times 100 years ago from our archives in February 2005. The clipping is a black and white photo with a caption. The photograph depicts five people sitting in a wooden waka (canoe) holding lengths of wood positioned to simulate oars.
The photo was originally printed in Otago Witness. The caption reads: " A Maori canoe, over 150 years old, found at Owaka, Catlins. - Otago Witness, 1.2.1905.
