About this object
Basket; a small basket, made c1929 by a student at Purakauiti School. The basket contains two compartments and is constructed from pieces of overlapping supple-jack, wired together at the corners.
The compartments are lined with red fabric, gathered along the top edge and stitched to the supple-jack. The wooden base has been made from the lid of a kerosene box.
