About this object

Wedding dress; a dress, bolero, veil and corset said to have been worn by Maureen Winter in 1955.
The dress consists of a full, ankle-length skirt of satin[?] covered with lace. The bodice is covered with ruched lace and features a row of lace covered buttons at the back and domes and hook clasps at the side. The narrow, shoulder straps are also of lace.
The lace bolero has one lace-covered button at the neck. At the end of each long sleeve is a row of lace-covered buttons.
The long veil is constructed of very delicate netting with a decorative hem and appliqué lace flowers at the base.
The corset is a ‘Lilyette’, made in New Zealand by Bendon, with a very narrow waist.
