Shaving mug; a white ceramic mug with wide spout and upper soap dish with drainage holes. On one side is a coloured transfer-print depicting Lord Kitchener and General French, along with images of flags and a crown, above the words: 'Conquer or Die'. A maker's mark on the base suggests the mug was manufactured by the Empire Porcelain Co at the Empire Works, Stoke-on-Trent, who were active between 1896 and 1967.
