Bedpan; a wedge-shaped, ceramic bedpan, glazed white with a handle at the high end. Inside are transfer-printed instructions, which read: "The New Slipper Bed Pan, This slipper should be passed under the patient between the legs. If a flannel cap is made for the blade, fastened by strings under the handle, considerable comfort will be affected. Best English Ironstone".
