About this object

Ornate fan with ivory sticks, carved with floral motifs and pierced work. The body of the fan is hand painted and depicts a hunting scene with women, dogs and archery bows. The end guard sticks are also carved ivory with floral design and figurine. It also has mother of pearl rivets.

This fan was purchased by the donor's aunt, Alison Moser, during a trip to England in the 1930's.
