Army Museum Waiouru
The Army Museum is a memorial to the men and women of the New Zealand Army who died in the service of this country in war. It aims to demonstrate the part played by the Army in the history and development of New Zealand and its role in shaping our nation and its identity. The Army Museum is reknowned for its realistic life-size dioramas, which bring the history and personal stories of the solidiers to life in a way that people can relate to very easily. The Army Museum also has an extensive research library and archives, Rations Cafe and a gift shop which sells much military memorabilia.
