the chemist, Reed and Co, operated after purchasing the EB Hill pharmacy at Cambridge in 1920- EB Hill was the son of TB Hill chemist of Raglan.
The pot is probably from the 1920s, not the 1880s.
this information is in my book, Community Pharmacists, Early New Zealand chemists and druggists. Reed and co operated from 1920, until the 1950s, owned by different chemists.
