About this object

Sarah Gilmour was the wife of Robert Gilmour who opened a General Store in Raglan around 1854. She had 7 sons and 5 daughters.Two of those sons Robert jnr and Charles reopened another Gilmours general store in 1902 and continued the family business which served Raglan for 80 years. The Gilmour brothers were also well-known for their prolific photography of the Raglan area.
