About this object

Woollen short underpants. Gusset at crotch with placket opening at centre front, fastened with two large plastic buttons, lined around waistband and gusset with cotton and cotton tape around placket hem. Cotton tie at centre back to tighten to fit. Cotton tape on each outside hips. Label and maker, 'No Better in "Canterbury" the Dominion S'. Worn by donor in WW2 who was in the RNZAF.
