About this object

Colour print on cream cotton base. Music sheet with scenes. Sheet music, 'Till the Boys Come Home (Keep the Home Fires Burning)' in central panel. Below is a fireside image with soldiers in action left and right of this, on left a Highland Regiment and right an Artillery Regiment. Border of pennants and flags, at top right and left corners are allied flags (Serbia, France, Italy, UK, Russia, Belgium and Japan) with the words 'For Liberty' below. Top centre is a laurel wreath with crown and Union Jack inside. A scarf sent to donor's sister from her fiance Walter Causer during WW1. Within two weeks of receiving the scarf Walter was killed in action. Dulcie Powell nee Healey was the last Healey living so she was given her sisters scarf.
