About this objectA collection of photographs from 419841 Pte. Edgar Worthington of Maungaturoto who served in WW2 with the 24th Infantry Battalion, D Company. Edgar fought in Italy during the war and was wounded by shrapnel, spending some time in hospital before returning to New Zealand. 1. Army Camp Kensington 1943. 2. Cooking Convales Camp Southern Italy. 3. Final Leave 1943. 4. With niece June Rogers. 5-6. Final Leave at Rogers farm. 7. On leave in Rome 1944 with fellow soldiers. 8-10. Portraits taken around 2nd October 1944.
