About this objectA pair of brown leather boots that were issued to Alfred Gawler for the second Boer War. Alfred was one of the last veterans alive. 3613/ 49520 Rfm. Alfred Gawler served in the second Boer war and WW1 with the NZRB in J company. The boots are tall covering the shin with lace tie ups at ankle. Wood shoe lasts with removable parts are inside to keep them.
